This little helper is ideal for ventilating the vehicle - via the tailgate it ensures an optimum supply of fresh air.

Improved air circulation can be achieved, for example, in combination with a side ventilation grille for the sliding window or our VanEssa mosquito nets. The tailgate is opened approx. 10 cm, but still remains locked and burglar-proof.
Another advantage: ventilation with the hook is also possible in the rain - it does not rain through the boot lid.
The hook is simply hooked into the lower locking bar and serves as an extension to the original lock.
For wide tailgates (thick panelling, California Beach with chairs, etc.) the extra-long hook is suitable, as otherwise hardly any air can get in. We give our customers the choice: the standard hook results in a smaller but usually sufficient ventilation gap. The extra-long version extends the gap by another 4cm, thus allowing more air to penetrate.
For some vehicle types, only one variant (standard or extra-long) can be selected; in these cases, the other variant is not suitable.

Particularities
Please state your type of vehicle and in case of Volkswagen T5/T6/T6.1 if your vehicle has an electric closing aid* when ordering (choose in dropdown)!
Do not mistake the closing aid with the closing loop attached at the lid. We mean the electrical closing assistance system that makes an audible sound when the lid touches the closing point. Here is a videoof how the tailgate closes the last few centimeters by itself = with a closing aid.
Renault Kangoo III / Mercedes Citan II / Nissan Townstar: to increase the contact surface, a foam block is placed underneath so that the tailgate can snap into place.
Opel Vivaro / Fiat Talento / Renault Traffic / Nissan NV300 and Primastar: to be able to lock the van with the tailgate hook, the button at the bottom left of the rear must be pressed simultaneously.
Volkswagen bus with closing aid: sometimes the hook hangs in the lock and cannot be taken out - here is the solutionto get it out again.
Not suitable for vehicles with rear doors (only for trunk lids). Not suitable for a vent window in the trunk lid, only for the trunk lid closing mechanism
With an electric tailgate, we do not recommend using the boot lid hook. The use is possible, but can lead to irritation of the electrics.
Not suitable for Mercedes W 638.
Attention
Do not use while driving or with the engine running, otherwise exhaust fumes can get into the interior of the vehicle!
